The Taverns of Colonial Williamsburg

During the Christmas season, the warmth and good cheer of our 18th-century taverns seems even more welcoming. Located in the heart of the Historic Area, you’ll be surrounded by centuries of tradition as you dine on historically inspired dishes and regional favorites.

Events include:

• Mr. Shields’s Holiday Feast - Mr. Shields invites you to gather at Shields Tavern and enjoy his holiday feast of regional fare.
• Tavern Christmas Dinner - Ring in Christmas by feasting in 18th-century style upon traditional holiday foods at a colonial tavern.
• Evening of Lyrics and Lore at Campbell’s Tavern - Storytellers and balladeers regale you with 18th-century stories and music.

Resort Dining

Outside the Historic Area, you’ll find a wide variety of dining choices, from fine dining to casual family fare perfect for a home-away-from-home Christmas celebration.

Events include:

• A White House Christmas - Enjoy dinner favorites reminiscent of White House traditions prepared by a former White House pastry chef.
• Groaning Board - Celebrate the season with a grand feast of holiday favorites and traditional entertainment at the Williamsburg Lodge Breakfast with Santa Claus. A spirited meal featuring visits from Santa’s helpers, a roving minstrel, and others.
• NEW for KIDS! Holiday Cookie Decorating with Our Chefs - Every child loves the holiday tradition of decorating cookies. Our chefs will supply loads of colorful icing, gingerbread people and fun guidance as kids enjoy creating their personal holiday confection. $15 per child inclusive of tax and gratuity. December 13 and 20. 1-2 p.m. Williamsburg Lodge.
