Tennis Center

For those with a passion for tennis, Colonial Williamsburg provides eight tennis courts (six clay and two hard surface) and expert instruction from a certified tennis professional. The Tennis Center is conveniently located adjacent to the Providence Hall Guesthouses of the world-famous Williamsburg Inn. The full-service pro shop features the latest in mens and womens tennis attire plus unique Williamsburg Inn logo items and offers racket stringing, racket and ball machine rentals, and changing facilities. Residential memberships are also offered.

Swimming

The Colonial Williamsburg Resort Collection provides an array of swimming experiences. The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg offers an indoor swimming pool for lap swimming and aquatic classes (inquire about family swim hours), an outdoor pool that is heated for extended seasonal enjoyment, and an outdoor pool adjoining the Williamsburg Inn. The Inn pool is the perfect place for quiet relaxation as toys and games are prohibited. Lockers, changing rooms and food service are located at the pool area.

Outdoor pools are also a feature of the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites and the Governor’s Inn.

Nature Trails

Hikers and cyclists will be delighted with Colonial Williamsburgs extensive nature trails and bicycling routes. The Historic Area also is ideal for riding, jogging, power walking or leisurely strolls. The Tennis Pro Shop rents a selection of bicycles, from those with training wheels for beginners to six-speed and tandem bicycles for adventurous cyclists. Complimentary helmets are provided for safety. Hour-long bicycle tours offer an introductory overview to the Historic Area ,and events guests may wish to pursue during their stay. Strollers and bicycle child seats also are available.

Assorted recreational activities are available at the Woodlands Hotel & Suites. Scenic forest paths wind past a miniature golf course, picnicking and table tennis area, horseshoe pits, a childrens playground, and tennis, badminton, shuffleboard and volleyball courts.

At the Williamsburg Inn, lawn bowling greens and croquet courts offer another unique opportunity for guests of the Resort Collection of Colonial Williamsburg, and memberships are available.

Kids Club

Enroll them in Colonial Kids Club, our on-site summer adventure. They’ll have four or eight hours of supervised fun with other kids including lunch. And you’ll have time to relax in our spa, shop, golf, or explore.

Everyday, youre invited to embark on a revolutionary adventure in Colonial Williamsburgs Historic Area.
